Pe Insula fanteziilor, într-o staţiune tropicală de lux, enigmaticul Mr. Roarke transformă în realitate cele mai ascunse visuri ale oaspeţilor săi. Dar atunci când fanteziile se transformă în coşmaruri, oaspeţii, pentru a-şi salva viaţa, trebuie să dezlege misterul insulei.
Melanie Cole (interpretată de Lucy Hale, protagonista din hitul Truth or Dare) vrea să-şi vindece rănile răzbunându-se pe cineva care o teroriza în copilărie. Fantezia prinde viaţă: acea persoană apare subit în carne şi oase în faţa ei, iar în fantezie, Melanie se află la butoane. Dar oare are puterea să-și pună în aplicare planul de răzbunare?
Mistuită de regrete, Gwen Olsen (Maggie Q), ar vrea să-și schimbe alegerile decisive, să o ia pe alt drum, care să-i aducă fericirea şi liniştea. E posibil? Poate, dar va trebui să treacă prin infern pentru asta.
Poliţistul Patrick Sullivan (Austin Stowell) visează să-şi vadă tatăl, care a murit în misiune, dar fantezia îl obligă să exploreze zone mai profunde. Ca un copil inocent, îşi imaginează că se poate juca cu arme adevărate pentru a-i elimina pe răufăcători, dar lucrurile scapă de sub control.
JD (Ryan Hansen) nu are ambiții mari: doar își aduce pe insulă fratele vitreg pentru a se distra fără restricții, dezlănțuindu-și fanteziile într-o petrecere sub cerul liber.
