În "Singur acasă 2: Pierdut în New York", Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) revine, de această dată având întreg orașul New York drept teren de joacă. Dar nu va fi singur multă vreme. Bandiții de doi bani, Harry și Marv (Joe Pesci și Daniel Stern) despre care s-a dus vestea, au mirosit și ei că e rost de ceva și, lingându-și încă rănile de la ultima întâlnire cu Kevin, pun la cale o escrocherie pe scară mare.
