Se numeste Ace Ventura. E cel mai tare detectiv de animale din cati exista. De fapt, singurul in bransa.
Odata cu disparitia lui Fulg de zapada, delfinul-mascota al echipei de fotbal Miami Dolphins, fapt care buimaceste autoritatile chiar in ajunul Super Bowl-ului, se dovedeste ca singurul om de incredere, singurul cu intuitia potrivita, singurul care cunoaste diferenta dintre un delfin si-o delfina este Ace Ventura. Iar atunci cand rapirea delfinului este urmata de disparitia starului fundas de la Dolphins - toata lumea are nevoie ca Ace sa preia cazul.
Ignorat de politia din Miami pentru faptul ca nu este un anchetator legal, ingeniosul descoperitor de creaturi neajutorate trebuie sa se bazeze doar pe istetimea si neobosita fidelitate a menajeriei personale, ca sa-si faca slujba.
Rolul lui Ace Ventura a reprezentat pentru Jim Carey debutul pe marele ecran.
