Capitanul S Melly preia conducerea unei baze aeriene experimentale, in sensul ca aici se incearca lucrul in comun al barbatilor si al femeilor, toti fiind considerati militari.
Desi vremurile sunt tulburi, actiunea are loc in 1940, militarii par mult mai mult interesati unii de ceilalti, decat de doborat avioane inamice, motiv pentru care capitanul va avea numai probleme.
