Rezumat:
Remake al filmului clasic omonim din anul 1974, thriller-ul "The Taking of Pelham 123" urmareste modul in care o zi obisnuita de munca din viata dispecerului si locotenentului de politie a transporturilor Zachary Garber se transforma in haos dupa ce un grup de patru raufacatori deturneaza o garnitura de metrou in orasul New York si ii iau ostatici pe toti pasagerii. Grupul de atacatori este condus de catre un fost mercenar si o eminenta cenusie in materie de infractiuni pe nume Bernard Ryder, supranumit "Mr. Blue", care ameninta sa ucida pasagerii unul cate unul daca nu primeste o suma substantiala de bani in interval de o ora.
In vreme ce autoritatile negociaza fara succes cu oamenii inarmati ai lui Ryder, Zachary Garber decide sa isi foloseasca vastele cunostinte despre reteaua subterana de metrou pentru a-i salva in timp util pe pasagerii ingroziti. Singura enigma care il framanta pe Garber este aceea a modului in care planuiesc banditii sa scape nepedepsiti dupa ce isi vor incasa recompensa.
