Issue : My gfx card which is ATI Radeon X800 (256mb) started giving this Vpu Recovery Error Popup window, prolly because some problem with card? I am using Windows Xp Service Pack 1. With 1.5 Gb of Ram.
Well, my card was just working fine somedays ago, no error nothing, but now whenever i play any game, it gives me this error right after 15 minutes. I am using this card from past 7 months and this is the first time that suddenly this error started comming. I am unable to play any game. I never had this issue before.
I went through some other threads in this forum about this VPU RECOVERY, so to inform, i am not using any cooling device, because i never required one, my gfx was working well from past 7 months. 2ndly, i've tried disabling VPU RECOVER option, wont help.
Now i need to know what the fk should i do? Replace the card or what? Should i try reinstalling windows, can it be a windows problem? Or can it be due to some dust over my card? Because i havent cleaned it from quite sometime, like 3-4 months.
ANSWER :ok, first, is overdrive enabled? if so, turn it off. second, is your CPU temp normal? I've had this error with my 9600XT and it was my CPU fan that was no longer attached properly which caused heat problems which gave me VPU recover. |

Instructiuni pentru rezolvarea problemei: Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device manager->System Devices->VIA CPU to AGP Controller, apasati click dreapta, dati undate driver, alegeti "No,not this time", apasati NEXT, iar alegeti "Install from a list or specific location(Advanced)", bifati "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" si dati NEXT, selectati "PCI standard PCi to PCI bridge" si dati restart. Mie imi aparea VPU Recover atunci cand jucam NFS ProStreet dar dupa aceasta setare nu mia mai aparut, nu stiu daca merge 100% dar merita sa incercati. "
