Cand am pornit Pc-ul in dimineata aceasta am primit eroarea aceasta "Reboot and select proper boot device. Or insert Boot Media in selected boot device." . Tin sa va anunt ca nu am incercat sa bootez nimic, nu am avut nici un cd in unitatea optica care putea fi butabil , nici un usb stick in usb atasat. HDD-ul meu e pe serial ata , si folosesc Windows Xp Proffessional x64 Edition cu Service Pack 2. Singura rezolvare a fost sa deschid carcasa sa scot mufele , sa le bag inapoi iar apoi sistemul a luat-o ....
Ce pot sa fac sa previn eroarea ?? Pentru ca nu vreau sa stau toata ziua cu surubelnita pe desk sa tot il deschid la anumite resetari ale pc-uli ??

On some IDE cables, the specific order of the HDD on which connector of the cable is important. Try swaping it around.

It sounds more like the Master Boot record of your HDD is screwed up. Boot up with the WinXP cd into Recovery Console and see if you can access the C:\Windows directory (or any other directory you know on that HDD). There are also utillities on the WD website that can scan your HDD for any problems, physical or software faults, and may try to correct them (be carefull using this - it may delete stuff).

Easiest way is to download a Live OS CD like Knoppix or Ubuntu Live that has support for NTFS filesystem and using that to access the HDD directly. That will tell you if you have a problem with your HDD or not.

Se speram ca nu e asa, dar unui prieten de-al meu ii aparea exact la fel ca la tine si pana la urma i s-a stricat HDD, sau posibil sa fie de vina firele care fac legatura dintre placa de baza si HDD, adica sa iti cumperi altele.

Later Edit ...am cautat si eu pe mr. Google inainte sa postez aici   ... ..si am citit articolul postat de maharet ...asteptam raspunsuri mai clare ..oricum multumesc incaodata!
