Plot:
A film crew is in Southeast Asia filming a Vietnam-war memoir. It's early in the shooting, but they're already behind schedule and over budget. On the day an accident befalls the novice director, the cast and crew are attacked by a gang of poppy-growing local drug dealers, except the cast and crew don't realize these aren't actors who are stalking them. The thugs kidnap Tugg Speedman, an actor whose star seems on the decline, and it's up to the rest of the ragtag team to band together long enough to attempt his rescue. But will Tugg want to leave?

Ben Stiller, Jack Black si Robert Downey Jr conduc un casting simpatic intr-o comedie despre un grup de actori mobilizati de dorinta de a face cel mai mare film de razboi realizat vreodata in lume. Dupa costuri ce lasa in urma ridicarea Taj Mahal-ului sau razboiul cu japonezii, si care nu sunt altceva decat cheltuieli exagerate cu rasfatul actorilor, producatorii sunt nevoiti sa traga oblonul si sa inchida pravalia. Dar un regizor frustrat refuza sa opreasca filmarile si isi duce castingul in jungla din sud-vestul Asiei, pentru a "creste realismul"... Din nefericire, realismul inseamna intalnirea cu niste baieti rai pana-n maduva oaselor.
"Furtuna tropicala" este un film care-i reuneste pe Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Brandon T. Jackson, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Steve Coogan, Bill Hader si Nick Nolte. Filmul este regizat de Ben Stiller si realizat dupa un scenariu de Justin Theroux & Ben Stiller si Etan Cohen. Povestea ii apartine lui Ben Stiller & Justin Theroux.
