Plot
Stan Smith, who works for the CIA and is constantly on the alert for terrorist activity. Stan will go to extremes to protect his beloved America from harm; as evidenced by the terror-alert color code on his fridge, and his frequent knee-jerk reaction of shooting holes in the toaster whenever the toast pops up. In addition to Stan's wife and teenage children, the Smith household has two rather unconventional members. There's Roger, the sarcastic space alien who rescued Stan from Area 51 who deeply resents the fact that he's not allowed to leave the house, and therefore, has been reduced to drinking wine and smoking cigarettes, and Klaus, a lascivious, German-speaking goldfish; the result of a CIA experiment gone seriously wrong where the CIA tried to give a fish a German man's brain. Stan's son is a dorky teenager who tries to be cool. His wife has had a past life of sex and drugs.

Frank Nitti: The Enforcer 1988

Plot
I say surprisingly well done because it came to the tube in less than a year after DePalma's Untouchables, which took liberties, but is still a classic. This film is risky for the time it hit television in 1988. It told Nitti's life truthfully. It's a great film...and I recommend it to anyone who likes LaPaglia or the genre!! It has a self destructive character quality: Loyalty was Nitti's downfall. The way he died possibly saved a few lives, starting with his families. Everyone knows Nitti died, but to see how, see the film.It's directed well, but the Capone character comes off like a cartoon. The actor playing Al seems WAY too dependent on Nitti. Well acted by all. Nobody can watch this and be let down.

Aoi Sola is famous in her native Japan as an AV (adult video) starlet. AV is a very strange and very Japanese genre where the actors apparently have real sex, but they don't actually show the penetration (which is still illegal in Japan). I haven't seen any of her AV work (and I don't really see the point actually), but I have seen Sola in several simulated softcore "pink" films, one of which, "Raw Summer", is pretty good and actually approaches a genuine drama. This movie is also better than expected--it's a SOV (shot-on-video)"pink" movie, but it actually succeeds somewhat as a legitimate horror flick.

Jerry works in his father-in-law's car dealership and has gotten himself in financial problems. He tries various schemes to come up with money needed for a reason that is never really explained. It has to be assumed that his huge embezzlement of money from the dealership is about to be discovered by father-in-law. When all else falls through, plans he set in motion earlier for two men to kidnap his wife for ransom to be paid by her wealthy father (who doesn't seem to have the time of day for son-in-law). From the moment of the kidnapping, things go wrong and what was supposed to be a non-violent affair turns bloody with more blood added by the minute. Jerry is upset at the bloodshed, which turns loose a pregnant sheriff from Brainerd, MN who is tenacious in attempting to solve the three murders in her jurisdiction.

Charlie's Tramp character finds himself at a circus where he is promptly gets chased around by the police who think he is a pickpocket. Running into the bigtop, he is an accidental sensation with his hilarious efforts to elude the police. The ringmaster/owner immediately hires him, but discovers the Tramp cannot be funny on purpose, so he takes advantage of the situation by making the Tramp a janitor just happens to always in the Bigtop at showtime. Unaware of this exploitation, the Tramp falls for the owner's lovely acrobatic daughter, who is abused by her father. His chances seem good, until a dashing rival comes in and Charlies feels he has to compete with him.

At night he parks his cab 2 kilometers away from his residence, dresses up in a formal shirt and tie, and walks home. Grumpy, alcoholic and cranky, one day he has a run-in with an impatient, arrogant and wealthy passenger, Jai Mittal, contesting a widely publicized last will and testament of his late father, Shyam. Jai pressurizes Raghav to speed-up, resulting in a collision and subsequent arrest of Raghav by a Havaldar from Khar Police Station. He retains a vault key belonging to Jai which he refuses to return, and is held in a cell. While being transferred to Andheri Police Station, he manages to escape, and returns home - only to find that Jai has informed Sunita about his being a lowly taxi-driver. As Sunita and Rishabh prepare to depart for Nasik, he decides to teach Jai and his sweetheart, Rupali, a lesson that will end up changing their lives forever.

Shortly after pickup, he takes a bet to get the car there in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Along the way, Kowalski is guided by Supersoul - a blind DJ with a police radio scanner. Throw in lots of chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar and you've got a great cult hit from the early 70's.

So, as he circles her like a vulture his prey-to-be, Maggie's opinion of Ike sinks below zero. Not only is Ike waiting for her to fail again but the whole town is poking fun at Maggie about her mistakes. But that is a point which Ike doesn't like.

A Hanna-Barbera fan, I rented this movie, but thought it was going to be "lame-o". It can get rather disinteresting, these type of stories where they take a familiar tale, and put characters familiar from another source in the roles. You know, like all those sitcom cast retellings of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Actually, the film turned out to be quite fun. Shaggy (in drag) has to tell stories to a prince, who sounds exactly like Mandark from "Dexter's Laboratory", which amused me. One story is a gender-reversed version of "Aladdin", with a girl named Aliyah-Din as the poor heroine who must win her royal man. Despite the presence of Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo as genies, the story can actually be taken pretty seriously. Then Magilla Gorilla stars as Sinbad, in a hilarious parody which includes a surprising send-up of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride! As a Disney theme park fan, I was howling with laughter!
