As the days go by, Danny has visions of previous guests and employees who died at the hotel years before, meanwhile Jack starts driving into insanity, turning more and more aggressive, at the point that Danny and Wendy gets convinced that Jack might try to do the same thing, Grady did.

hortly after the events of the first film, a medical officer and a GEO team, equipped with video cameras, are sent into the quarantined apartment building to control the situation. After encountering some of the infected, the man from CDC uses something religious to fight them off. Surprisingly, it works. It turns out that the man from CDC is actually a priest sent by the church to get a blood sample from the Medeiros girl. When they get to the attic, they find out that the infected can travel all around the building through the air ducts. The Medeiros girl is nowhere to be found. One of the GEO’s goes up to the air duct and finds a sample of her blood – the only one that the original priest took from her. The priest then does something religious with some of it, and it explodes, confirming that it IS the blood he’s looking for; however, the SWAT member holding the rest of the blood drops it because of the explosion, rendering it useless. They then are forced to get the blood sample from the Medeiros girl herself…

This is the story of a solidly middle-class African-American family that reunites for Christmas for the first time in seveal years. Ma'dere (Loretta Devine) is the Matriarch who's Los Angeles home is where the vast majority of the story takes place. As with any family gathering there are topics that are best not discussed. When they are discussed here they end up in fights -verbal or physical (an excellent sister-on sister catfight stands out here). One sister is encouraging the siblings to sell the family dry cleaning business and split the profits. One bother is running from loan sharks. One brother is AWOL from the Marine Corps and One sister has brought along the man she's dating at a historically Black college. Despite what the trailers and TV commercials may lead you to think this is not a warm syurpy comedy. There are dramatic moments, violence and course language. It is however very much a slice-of-life that not enough hollywood features present. This family, warts and all, is definitely not a hollywood feel-good film with blackfaces. It is authentic in it's portrayal of themes facing African-Americans in particular but Americans in general.

A smooth talking, coercive “no man”, Rick turns John’s life upside-down when he not only moves into his building, but starts working at his competitive law firm. Here, every new guy represents another obstacle on the path to partnership. As Rick and others become more and more of a threat in John’s eyes, John becomes paranoid and obsessed with uncovering the truth about those who are intent on ruining his life. Driven by his delusions, John starts to become what he hates, and learns that in a world of no absolutes, right and wrong is just a matter of perspective.
