Plot:
After a drug-op gone bad, Joey Gazelle is put in charge of disposing the gun that shot a dirty cop. But things goes wrong for Joey after the neighbor kid stole the gun and used it to shoot his abusive father. Now Joey has to find the kid and the gun before the police and the mob find them first.

Joey Gazelle (Paul Walker) este un fel de "sanitar" al mafiei care face să dispară arme folosite în crime și jafuri. Dar Joey ascunde aceste arme în peretele din pivnița sa în loc să le arunce în râu după tradiția mafiotă. Fiul lui în vârstă de numai 10 ani (Alex Neuberger) și prietenul său cel mai bun, Oleg (Cameron Bright), îl văd pe Joey când ascunde niște arme folosite la o afacere cu droguri care a mers prost. Oleg fură una dintre arme - un pistol mic, de calibrul .38 (cu care a fost împușcat un polițist corupt) - și îl împușcă pe tatăl său vitreg (Karel Roden).
Ca și când lucrurile nu erau suficient de încurcate, aflăm că tatăl vitreg nu este altul decât nepotul unui șef mafiot rus (John Noble), care are o afacere cu benzină cu oamenii pentru care lucrează Joey. Acum, arma l-a pus pe urmele lui Joey și pe polițistul corupt (Chazz Palminteri) care a supraviețuit tranzacției eșuate anterior...
Pistolul e pe străzi, trecând din mână în mână în lumea plină de ciudați, pești, prostituate și pedofili. Oleg poate face legătura între Joey și pistol. Chiar dacă Joey reușește să supraviețuiască, tot va trebui să-i dea socoteală soției sale (Vera Farmiga).
