În traditia unor filme precum Gross Pointe Blank, aceasta este o comedie neconventionala, despre doi controlori de trafic aerian a caror rivalitate intensa, sustinuta de predilectia pentru pozitia de lider, declanseaza un haos comic în carierele si casniciile lor - dar si printre avioanele din spatiul aerian pe care îl monitorizeaza!
Nick Falzone (John Cusack) este cel mai ocupat si cel mai bun controlor de trafic aerian din Long Island - pana cand Russell Bell (Bill Bob Thornton) îsi face intrarea în oras ca un cowboy calare pe motocicleta. Alimentati de cofeina si diverse atitudini de “macho”, cei doi demareaza o competitie tumultoasa, în care spiritele si vointele se ciocnesc pentru a-l alege pe unicul învingator. Avandu-le în distributie si pe Cate Blanchett si Angelina Jolie, Pushing Tin este "Un film unic, neconventional, care pluteste pe aripile puternice ale originalitatii dublate de un comic demential".
