MOViE PLOT
Andy Dufresne is a young and successful banker whose life changes

Anul 1947. Andy Dufresne, un tānăr bancher, este condamnat la īnchisoare pe viață pentru uciderea soției și a amantului acesteia, deși Andy declară că este nevinovat. Īn īnchisoare, Andy il īntālnește pe Red, un bărbat de culoare īnchis de 20 de ani. Andy va pune la cale un ingenios plan de evadare, dar și de pedepsire a tiranicului director al īnchisorii.
Tim Robbins face rolul "criminalului" tăcut, gānditor. Īn īnchisoare găsește un nou prieten, pe Morgan Freeman, un "lup bătrān" care pare că știe tot dar mai are multe de īnvățat.
Pe lānga meritul de a fi pe deplin educativ și plin de pilde, filmul reușește să fie și spectaculos. Īnchisoarea ajunge să fie prezentată ca un loc oarecare, cu oameni buni și răi, un loc cu care te obișnuiești, locul care devine "acasă" pentru unii din ei.
