Kurt Russell joaca rolul lui Jack Burton, un sofer de camion dur si smecher, a carui viata monotona pe sosele ia brusc o īntorsatura supranaturala cand cea mai buna prietena a logodnicei sale este rapita.
Grabindu-se sa o salveze, Jack se trezeste la mare adancime sub cartierul Chinatown din San Francisco, īntr-o lume tenebroasa, plina de fapturi bizare, condusa de Lo Pan, un magician īn varsta de 2 000 de ani.
Alaturi de el apare Kim Cattrall, īntr-un spectacol SF plin de efecte, care accelereaza necrutator spre un final incredibil, cu multe īntorsaturi neasteptate.
