The film was directed by Andrew Stanton. It follows the story of a robot named WALL-E who is designed to clean up a polluted Earth. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure. In the early 22nd century, the megacorporation "Buy n Large" assumed every economic service on Earth, including the government. Overrun by un-recycled waste, the planet became so polluted that it could no longer support life. Buy n Large CEO Shelby Forthright developed a plan that would have all humans spend the next five years aboard fully-automated luxury starliners, while an army of "WALL-E" robots would compact the waste into skyscraper-like towers for easy disposal. However, the plan largely broke down, and thus Forthright had the starliners stay their courses until Earth was made habitable again. For the next 700 years humanity continued to live aboard the starliners for many generations, increasingly relying on the machinery of the starliners for their every need and becoming less and less physically active. Now, 700 years later, the humans have become too obese to do anything without the help of robotic assistance; even piloting the ships is handled by their individual computerized autopilots. On Earth, all of the WALL-E units have deactivated except for one; this remaining unit still performs his duties but, after centuries of prolonged activation, has achieved a form of sentience, collecting interesting knickknacks, befriending a cockroach, and watching an old videotape of Hello, Dolly! to learn about human emotions including love. One day, WALL-E finds a new plant growth in the trash, and places it in an old shoe for safekeeping. Later, a spaceship lands on Earth and deploys a state-of-the-art "EVE" probe which begins to scan the soil as part of her directive to find plant life on Earth. While WALL-E falls in love with the new robot on first sight, EVE is much more concerned with fulfilling her mission, though she eventually warms up to WALL-E and takes to his unique personality. When WALL-E shows her the plant he found, EVE's automatic programming initiates, causing her to seize the plant and store it inside of herself, activate a homing beacon for her ship, and shut down. WALL-E is unable to awaken EVE, but goes to great lengths to protect her from the elements, as well as take her motionless body out on dates. EVE's spaceship later returns to collect her; WALL-E, unwilling to leave EVE, hitches onto the ship's hull to follow EVE to her destination: the Axiom, the flagship of the human starliners. WALL-E realizes that EVE is part of the Axiom's programming to determine if the Earth is capable of supporting life; when the plant sample EVE carries is positively identified in the ship's holo-detector, the ship will return to Earth with its hyperjump engines, allowing humanity to recolonize the planet. However, the ship's autopilot "Auto" had received a final directive from Forthright centuries ago, incorrectly asserting that Earth had become too toxic to ever support life again, and telling the autopilots to stay the course in space. Auto takes measures to stop the plant from being delivered to the holo-detector by attempting to destroy it, having one of the robots under his control secretly steal the plant from EVE while she is deactivated. When EVE reactivates, discovers WALL-E and finds the plant is missing, she thinks WALL-E took and lost the plant and becomes disenchanted with him, and is sent to the robot repair ward where WALL-E's clumsy antics get her into trouble. When she tries to send him back to Earth on an escape pod, they both witness the true thief deposit the plant into the pod and setting it to self-destruct. The pod is launched with WALL-E retrieving the plant inside, but he barely manages to escape with the plant before the pod explodes. Grateful and relieved that he and the plant are safe, EVE gives WALL-E a kiss—actually an electrical spark exchanged between their faces—and they share a dance in space around the ship. WALL-E and EVE try to return the plant to the ship's Captain, but Auto stops them. Having only recently become fascinated with what Earth was once like and aware of its current state, the Captain understands that the plant is living proof that life is again sustainable on Earth, as well as a sign that they have to return to restore the planet. Auto stages a mutiny and drops WALL-E and EVE down a garbage chute into the Axiom's waste chambers. WALL-E is significantly damaged, and the only parts that can save him are those he kept on Earth. EVE, having realized her love for WALL-E after observing through her own security recordings how he protected her while she was dormant on Earth, determines that the only way to return to Earth in time is to get the plant into the holo-detector and initiate the hyperjump. With the help of the humans and other robots, the two attempt to insert the plant into the holo-detector, but are continually thwarted by Auto's control of the ship and security systems, ultimately damaging WALL-E even further. The Captain manages to stand up on his own and deactivates Auto, allowing the plant to be placed in the holo-detector and sending the Axiom back to Earth. After the Axiom lands on Earth, EVE frantically attempts to repair WALL-E. Though she is able to restore his body and reactivate him, his memories and personality seem to have been erased, his waste-disposal programming taking over. Heartbroken, EVE gives WALL-E a mournful farewell kiss that causes another electric spark, inadvertently rebooting WALL-E's memory and happily reuniting the two robots. The humans from the Axiom take their first steps on Earth, carefully replanting the seedling that brought them back, and begin working alongside the robots to restore their home. Subtitrare:

Eroina acestui film din 2023, tot Angela, trăiește (sau retrăiește) aceleași experiențe ca Angela din 1982, doar puțin alterate, că na, azi nu mai e taxi, că e Ubăr! În esență, întreg filmul este un joc intertextual cu numeroase trimiteri din sfera cinematografiei locale și străine, cît și către alte opere de artă: de la cărți, la muzică și la pictură.

Din aceste motive, unele propoziţii şi chiar fraze nu „bat” exact cu ceea ce este în original iar uneori nici titlurile nu sunt identice cu originalul. La fel expresiile: acolo unde a fost posibil le-am înlocuit cu echivalentul lor românesc. Cuvintele porcoase, când au apărut în original, le-am preluat ca atare şi în română, fără să le „margaretanistorizez”. De reţinut că este versiunea 1.0 ceea ce înseamnă că sunt şi greşeli de dactilografiere (destul de multe). Dacă există doritori pentru corectură, pot pune la dispoziţie textele-sursă în engleză şi română. Din câte mi-am dat seama, textele au fost publicate iniţial în Reddit şi de acolo au fost transformate în audiobook (sau audiostory fiind vorba de povestiri) şi aduse în Youtube. Cele mai multe au ca subiect infidelitatea soţiilor (probabil pentru că majoritatea autorilor sunt bărbaţi) dar şi bullyingul emoţional, trădări în familie şi ar mai fi cele în care, asemenea prinţului îndrăgostit de cenuşăreasă, CEO (în majoritate femei de succes) se îndrăgostesc până peste urechi de un om de serviciu, un mecanic sărac, un tată singur sau un rezervist din armată care vine la întâlnire cu copilul de mână şi alte „cenuşărisme”. Când nu este vorba de trădări sau adulter, se exploatează motivul underdogului. La sfârşitul culegerii există şi un Dosar de autor, unde sunt publicate şapte povestiri de pe un singur canal, cu scopul de a realiza o oarecare imagine despre ceea ce se încarcă acolo. Sper să fie util. În închiere, reamintesc cititorilor că povestirile sunt din zona fantasy literature adică o lectură uşoară, fără mari pretenţii literare. Şi, când citiţi, nu uitaţi că sunt doar poveşti, ficţiuni (unele destul de departe de realitate), nu reportaje de ziar. Deci, aşa cum ne-a plăcut Albă ca Zăpada sau Crăiasa Zăpezii ori Prâslea cel voinic şi merele de aur, să avem aceeaşi îngăduinţă şi pentru aceste „basme moderne”. Deocamdată volumul nu are decât 30 de povestiri. Dacă interesul pentru acest tip de literatură va creşte, probabil va spori şi numărul povestirilor. Altfel... va fi fost o încercare frumoasă şi interesantă. Eu o sa va spun cateva lucruri esentiale din viata unei mare artiste a neamului. “Ne aflam in fata unui fenomen! N-am mai auzit pana azi nici un cantaret izbutind sa interpreteze cu asemenea talent si originalitate cantecul nostru popular, pastrand nealterata autenticitatea versului si melodiei”, spunea compozitorul si dirijorul Theodor Rogalski. Maria Tanase s-a nascut in Bucuresti, pe 25 septembrie 1913, in mahalaua Caramidarilor, pe ulita Livada cu Duzi. Era fiica Anei Munteanu si a horticultorului Ionel Coanda Tanase. Prima data a aparut in public pe scena Caminului Cultural “Caramidarii de Jos” in anul 1921. Apoi pe scena Liceului “Ion Heliade Radulescu”, unde a frecventat cursul inferior. Cu ajutorul gazetarului Sandu Eliad a patruns in atmosfera unui cenaclu al tinerilor intelectuali ai carui memebrii o vor sfatui sa-si valorifice insusirile artistice si sa urce pe scena. Debutul artistic a avut loc la teatrul de revista condus de renumitul Constantin Tanase. Apare in revista “Carabus-Expres” din 2 iunie 1934 cu pseudonimul daruit de Constantin Tanase – Mary Atanasiu. Primele inregistrari pe discuri de ceara le-a facut in anul 1936 sub patronajul casei de discuri londoneze “Columbia”, cu ajutorul artistei Aurora Sotropa, de care a legat-o ulterior o mare prietenie si la invitatia careia a mers la Viena pentru a face noi inregistrari, in toamna aceluiasi an. Aparitia Mariei Tanase, o interpreta necunoscuta, careia vestita si vechea firma londoneza ii imprima un numar mare de discuri se inregistreaza ca un eveniment. In 20 febraurie 1937, Maria Tanase debuteaza la Radio Bucuresti. In 1938 se integreaza in colectivul artistic al “Alhambrei” intemeiata de omul de teatru Nicolae Vladoianu, acceptand sa cante cu un taraf taranesc alcatuit de ea. Dupa succesul cu “Constelatia Alhambrei” accepta sa-si verse tolba cu cantece pe estrada restaurantului “Neptun”, langa Piata Buzesti, unde ii va cunoaste pe Nicolae Folescu, marele nostru cantaret de opera, scriitorul Alexandru Hodos, sculptorul Mac Constantinescu, poetul Camil Baltazar, dipliomati si oameni de afaceri straini, atrasi de noutatea si frumusetea folclorului romanesc, desavarsirea doinelor noastre si intelepciunea cuprinsa in versul romanesc, rezultat din lunga si grea suferinta. Incepand cu 1939 se deschide activitatea internationala a talentatei interprete. Maria Tanase si Grigoras Dinicu sunt desemnati “ambasadori ai muzicii populare romanesti” la expozitia internationala de al New York. In anii ’40, in perioada dictaturii legionare, artista a avut mari probleme si datorita faptului ca avea cercul sau de prieteni evrei – Harry Brauner. Matritele discurilor aflate in discoteca Radio au fost distruse in mare parte. Salvarea vine din partea unui demnitar strain, care doreste sa asculte muzica populara interpretata de Maria Tanase si din partea unui vechi angajat al Radiodifuziunii, care scoate la iveala doua discuri nedistruse ale interpretei. A revenit in viata artistica si s-a bucurat de un mare succes turneul ei in Turcia, unde este declarata “cetatean de onoare”. In anul 1955, a primit „Premiul de Stat”, iar doi ani mai tarziu titlul de „Artist emerit”. Maria Tanase dorea ca restul vietii sa-l inchine invatamântului pedagogic de factura folclorica. La cererea sa, a fost transferata in functia de folclorist la orchestra „Taraful Gorjului“ din Tg. Jiu, unde prezinta concerte si spectacole apartinand filonului folcloric oltenesc. S-a stins din viata in anul 1963 la 22 iunie. Maria Tanase a lasat in urma s-a o bogata mostenire folclorica si artistica. Vreau sa reamintesc cateva piese celebre din repertoriul artistei: “Bun e vinul ghiurghiuliu”, “Ciuleandra”, “Agurida”, “Marie, si Marioara”. Ii multumim pentru acea voce minunata!
