The World Wide Web, and underlying technologies are becoming increasingly important for the development of interactive applications. Examples range from simple information sites to complex workflow systems, the properties of complex, distributed systems have. Currently, a large part of the systems will likely not ad hoc and piecemeal development and ensure the quality of the systems. Although there are known methods from software engineering, the design of information systems and distributed systems, they can not be transferred readily to the development of web systems.
Web Engineering is a scientific discipline, the theory, methods and tools for systematic development of high quality web-based systems studied. In essence, the course takes a large amount of different methods and Web technologies. These are therefore not usually dealt with in depth, but examples are presented and practiced. ZT can be deepened, the underlying technologies of specific lines of sight in other disciplines and combine theoretical studies (eg, distributed systems, data communications, software engineering, e-commerce systems, information systems, hypermedia, human-computer interaction and e-learning). In this lecture, the methods and techniques are brought together and discussed in the context of Web projects. The aim of the course is to introduce into the development of web applications and technologies necessary for relevant topics. These are first briefly some basic technologies (Internet, TCP / IP, World Wide Web, etc.) are presented in order to build on client-and server-side (including Java Server Pages and servlets, ASP.NET) and document-specific technologies (eg XML, CSS ) can be addressed. Finally, some of the technologies related to Ajax will be addressed. The lecture is accompanied by practical exercises using specific tools.
