Sinopsis:
Kane si Abel, doua persoane nascute in aceeasi zi, in tari diferite. Doua persoane cu destine distincte, dar care, atunci cand se vor intalni, vor reitera unul dintre cele mai vechi conflicte care au existat vreodata, cel legat de lupta pentru putere.
William Kane (Sam Neill) s-a nascut intr-una dintre familiile instarite din Boston si a fost educat special pentru a deveni unul dintre bancherii influenti de pe Wall Street. De cealalta parte a oceanului, in Polonia, in aceeasi zi cu Kane, s-a nascut Abel, fiul nelegitim al unui baron, crescut intr-un mediu modest si adoptat mai tarziu de nobilul polonez, fara a sti ca Abel este chiar fiul sau.
Dupa ce si-a petrecut multi ani intr-o tabara de prizonieri din Rusia, Abel reuseste sa fuga in Turcia si de acolo in Statele Unite, unde in scurt timp va reusi sa creeze unul dintre cele mai luxoase lanturi hoteliere din intreaga lume.
Cand destinul ii va pune fata in fata pe Kane si Abel, doua personalitati puternice, a caror unica placere este puterea, Wall Street - capitala mondiala a finantelor - se va cutremura.
