Boog (Mike Epps) plans an annual guys trip to spend time with his male friends. But Elliot (Joel McHale) has distanced himself from him since Elliot had started a family with his very own children. Boog is disappointed since everyone else wanted to spend time with their families which makes Boog go on a trip of his own, which leads him to a Russian traveling circus.
While in the circus, Boog meets Doug (Matthew J. Munn), a lazy, scruffy look-alike grizzly bear who is tired of performing in the circus on the sidelines. He craves recognition as a full-fledged king of the forest, the ruler of wildlife. He also meets Alistair (Dana Snyder), a Spanish llama who is Doug's best friend. Doug convinces Boog to switch his life in the forest for Doug's place at the circus, which Boog later accepts the offer. But the whole thing turns out a scam since all Doug wanted to do was escape.
Meanwhile, Boog falls madly in love with Ursa (Gina Torres), a female grizzly bear who was born in Russia and can effortlessly walk on a tightrope, juggle and dance. When the couple began working together, they have obtained much more as a harmonious duet than it might seem at first glance. When Boog's pals find out about Boog's disappearance, they (as well as Fifi and the other pets must put aside their differences) hatch a rescue mission to save Boog and Ursa.
Cast
* Mike Epps as Boog, the main protagonist. When Elliot starts a family of his own, Boog decides to go on a trip of his own, which leads him to a circus in Russia.
* Joel McHale as Elliot, the deuteragonist. He and his wife Giselle both have kids together. He is constantly annoyed by Gisela and Gesalita. He once again leads the way to save Boog.
* Melissa Styrm as Giselle, the tritagonist. She and Elliot both have children together. She goes on the mission to save Boog.
* Gina Torres as Ursa, Boog's love interest. She is an alluring Russian grizzly bear who is able to juggle and walk the tightrope.
* Matthew J. Munn as Doug, the main antagonist. He is a lazy, scruffy, devious grizzly bear who looks exactly like Boog (except he doesn't sound like him). He convinces Boog to switch places with him, but it turns out to be a scam since all Doug wanted to do was escape.
* Karley Scott Collins as Gisela, one of Elliot's daughters. She goes on the mission to save Boog. She looks like Giselle.
* Ciara Bravo as Gesalita, one of Elliot's daughters. She goes in the rescue mission for Boog. She also looks like Giselle.
* Charlie Bright as Elvis, Elliot's dim-witted son. He goes on the mission to save Boog. He looks like Elliot.
* Billy Connolly as McSquizzy, one of the main protagonists. He joins in the rescue mission for Boog.
* Cody Cameron as Mr. Weenie, one of the main protagonists. He joins in the mission to save Boog.
* Danny Mann as Serge, one of the main protagonists. He goes on the mission to save Boog.
* Matthew W. Taylor as Deni/Buddy/Ian, one of the main protagonists. They join in the mission to save Boog.
* Dana Snyder as Alistair (the spanish voice), a Spanish llama and Doug's best friend.
* Crispin Glover as Fifi, one of the minor protagonists. He is now reformed and no longer a villain. Fifi joins in the mission to rescue Boog.
* Steve Schirripa as Roberto, one of the minor protagonists. He goes on the mission to save Boog.
* Fred Stoller as Stanley, one of the minor protagonists. He goes on the mission to save Boog.
* Sean Mullen as Roger, one of the minor protagonists. He goes on the mission to save Boog.
* John Cygan as Old English Sheepdog, one of the minor in protagonists. He joins in the mission to save Boog.
