O satira la adresa filmelor cu supereroi, Megamind spune povestea unui personaj malefic care il omoara din greseala pe Metro Man, inamicul lui de moarte. Multumit initial de postul de conducator al lumii, Megamind se deprima dupa ce realizeaza ca viata fara un adversar de temut cu care sa se dueleze pe viata si pe moarte, nu are nici un farmec. Solutia lui Megamind este Titan, rezultatul unui experiment care da gres. Noul “rival” nu vrea sa fie deloc personaj pozitiv. El vrea sa ii ia locul lui megamind. Tocmai de aceea, Megamind ajunge sa fie salvatorul omenirii in fata acestei amenintari neprevazute.
