Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005)
At an archaeological dig in Africa, Father Lankester Merrin has his
first encounter with the devil incarnate. Merrin has focused on archeology,
rather than spiritual matters and is intrigued when a church buried beneath
the sand is excavated. Inside, he finds many signs of devil worship.
To a great extent, he has lost his faith and is particularly haunted by
events during the Nazi occupation and the impact of his decisions had on
his parishioners. When the devil occupies the body of a young patient in the
village hospital, Merrin risks his life to save him.

Exorcist: The Beginning (2004)
Father Lankester Merrin has turned into a non-believer after seeing the horrific
atrocities committed on the innocent during WW II . He has moved to Africa to
work as an archaeologist where an antiques dealer comes to him with a request.
An old Christian Byzantine church has been unearthed in Kenya , surprisingly
intact as if it were buried right after its completion.
Merrin is asked to find an ancient relic believed to be buried in the church.
Once Merrin arrives at the excavation site, however, inexplicable tragedies
start striking the innocent people around.
Merrin discovers soon that an ancient evil force has been set free due to
the excavation and if he wants to stop it, he will have to start believing once again .

different scenarios into one extraordinary plot.
A visiting actress in Washington, D.C., notices dramatic and dangerous changes
in the behavior and physical make-up of her 12-year-old daughter.
Meanwhile, a young priest at nearby Georgetown University begins to doubt his
faith while dealing with his mother's terminal sickness.
And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity
for a show-down with an old demonic enemy.

Exorcist II - The Heretic (1977)
Father Lamont is sent by his Cardinal to discover the death of Father Merrin
and also to see why Regan was possessed by the demon Pasuzu.
Father Lamont travels around the globe to Africa in search of another possessed
by the same demon named Kokumo which Father Merrin had performed an exorcism several
years in the past.
Kokumo tells Father Lamont that the demon lives inside locusts who fly around the world.
When Father Lamont returns to New York were Regan lives he discovers the demon has
reached Regan through Dr. Gene Tuskin's hypnosis machine.
Father Lamont travels to Regan's old home in Georgetown to defeat the demon.
However this time the demon takes control of Regan, Father Lamont, and Sharon.
Father Merrin's spirit returns to help.

The Exorcist III (1990)
Ignoring Exorcist II: The Heretic, this one deals with a serial killer who was
executed the same night of the exorcism in the first film with the girl Regan.
The priest who fell down the flight of steps was been taken into the spirit of
the killer to claim victim after victim some 20 years later.
The killer mutilates priests and doctors and uses old women as a suspect.
After the returning police detective Kinderman sees that it is the same serial
killings of the Gemini, he and another priest decide to find and destroy the
killer's spirit with using the final exorcism.
But this exorcism will be much more dangerous...
