Elasto Mania, is a very addictive 2D motorbike 'simulation' game. Like its predecessor Across it's based on a real physical model. Elma does either make people extremely addicted or makes them hate the game.
Since Elma is the next step in the development from Across, the way of playing is pretty much the same as in Across. If you aren't familiar with the way Across is played, we would suggest you read the information about Across first. There are some subtle differences in how to play Across and Elma, read more below on the Differences from Across section.
Elasto Mania claimed to be "based on a real physical model." It explores the notion of elastic motorcycles. The goal of each level is to collect every apple spread throughout that level, and then to touch the flower to finish and move on to the next level. Some people play the game to try to solve levels as fast as possible, while others enjoy its puzzle-like nature, figuring out how to solve a difficult level.
The shareware version game contains 18+1 levels, or tracks if you prefer (the last level contains information about how to register the game and cannot be finished). The registered version has 54+1 levels (the 55. level can't be finished, although it contains a web address to where to download more levels). The game has a very easy-to-use level editor. However, the use of it is limited in the shareware version. In the retail version you can make almost any kinds of levels and as many as you want. In case you run out of ideas, you can always enter the web and download thousands of new levels designed by other fans of the game. As in Across, you can also save replays of your drives in Elma.
Minimum System requirements * Microsoft Windows 95/NT/98/ME/2000/XP/FreeBEOS/Unix * DirectX 5.0 * Pentium 133MHz * 16MB RAM * 4MB hard disk space (replay and level files space excluded)

Best of Elastomania
I have chosen some of the best levels I've encountered till now. I still have to check more than 40000 levels. Anyway, I have put in this archive over 600 best levels, among which you'll find my personal levels, pipe training levels, some tutorial levels and the internal levels saved as external (you can see how the internal levels are made, study them, even modify them). There are also some replays (mopo) for the best times of the internals and some other replays made by me. The LGR is not the default one but it's a cool one (no fancy colors, you'll see). The default LGR is in the LGR folder also. Just remove the existing LRG and rename Copy of Default.lgr to Default.lgr and you'll have the default LGR back.
Enjoy the external levels, they're cool. Enjoy the tutorials, the PTLs and my levels too.
Elma 1.2 is better than it's old version because you can set a lot of things using ElmaConf12.exe After that all you have to do is run Elma12.exe.
The archive also contains ALE v2.1 (Advanced Level Editor) which will come in handy when you wanna make your own external levels.
For more info on how to play better, just use google.
If you become a passionate player and want more levels, also check google or PM me.
Enough said.
