Justice League - The New Frontier (2008)
Adapting the award-winning DC Comics miniseries DC: THE NEW FRONTIER by Darwyn Cooke, Justice League: The New Frontier spins a tale of the DC Universe in the 1950s, focusing on test pilot Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) and the Martian Manhunter. The story also features other DC characters, including Barry Allen (the Flash), Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and many more.
When Superman, Batman, and Wonder Womans--not to mention Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and The Flash-- join forces, they form the Justice League. Based on the hit graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke, this animated feature plumbs the origins of the DC Comics powerhouse. The adventure starts when the human race is threatened by a powerful creature, and only the combined power of these superheroes can stop it. But can they overcome their differences? O entitate necunoscuta, care povesteste evolutia Terrei, ne arata ca de cand a aparut omul, planeta nu a mai fost aceeasi. Ceea ce spunea acea entitate, numita Centrul ("The Center" este finalul unei povesti ilustrate, scrisa de un personaj necunoscut care se sinucide. Actiunea centrala se petrece la sfarsitul razboiul din Korea, cand militarii primesc ordinul de a inceta orice forma de atac. Filmul insa spune povestea fiecarui personaj in parte. Astfel este spusa povestea lui Flash inainte de Liga si cum a devenit Hal Jordan o Lanterna Verde. Filmul prezinta si venirea pe Pamant a lui J'onn J'onzz, unicul extraterestru martian in viata, si cum acesta a devenit un super-erou. Apare si Batman care cerceteaza cazul cultului "Centrului". Femeia-Minune se afla in Amazonia ataca de Centru. Amazoana il anunta pe Superman despre ce va urma sa se intample cand Centrul va ataca America. Se formeaza o echipa de asalt formata din armata si super-eroi, pentru a distruge Centrul
