I thought of creating this thread because all of the previous tutorials are pretty outdated...Iit's also an all-in-one thread, so no need to go search bits everywhere to get the work done ...wrote some of it by myself, and I have copied some parts from other posts, so credit goes to: Spiral and Suemer
~~ How To N-Gage 2.0 To Work On Your Phone ~~
TO make it easier for you, this tutorial will comprise of 3 main sections:
1. Tips and Tricks
2. Hacking Your Phone
3. Installing N-Gage
~~~~ Tips and Tricks ~~~~
These info are well advised for pre-FP1 and FP1 phones, but are not really necessarily useful on FP2 phones...well, you might give it a try if you want!
Doing a hard format before installation.
(well, generally everything works best on new stuff, so... )
1. Connect you phone to your PC using Nokia PC Suite and backup all of your content on your phone memory (messages, settings, etc). Then do a manual backup (i.e not from Nokia PC Suite) of all your files on your memory card.
2. You have to format your phone and your memory card seperately. For this:
-->i. Turn off the phone. Then PRESS and HOLD the Green Button + Number 3 + Symbol "*" (asterisk/star) SIMULTANEOUSLY. Turn on the phone. Keep holding until the phone asked you to input which country you reside.
-->ii. Format the Memory Card via Card Reader on the PC having the FAT disk attribute.
3. After formatting the phone, and the memory card. Put back the memory card again on the phone. Then format the Memory Card again using your phone. (Just to be safe).
~~~~ Hacking Your Phone ~~~~
In case you have a pre-FP1 or FP1 phone, read the miscalleanous info below first.
To be able to do this, you have to install an application called HelloOX2 on your phone, run it. It will do everything, you just wait and watch. But before, you must get the app signed, and that's the tricky part! Here's some info on it:
What is HelloOX2?
HelloOX2 is an One step Hacking tool for all Symbian S60 3rd & 5th phone.
Hacking mean that it can get full access to your phone's system folders and files, with this capability, HelloOX2 could install a root certificate to your phone, and with the root cer & key pair you could sign any apps to install, include the Manufacturer capabilities requested apps. Completely fix annoying certificate error!
How to use it?
Install to your phone, just run it after install. All steps run automatic, just wait and see.
What HelloOX2 does?
1. Map drive
2. Unpack Hacking files to the virtual drive
3. Activate file system
7. Unmap drive
4. Install root certificate
5. Install RomPatcher+ (by Il.Socio)
6. Optional Install Modo (a full system files access file manager by leftup)
8. Done!
Notes:
RomPatcher+ is just a bundle app included in HelloOX2, it is not supporting by us, apply installserver patch in it should let you install any unsigned apps. Unfortunately, it may not works correct on some future device or firmware, if it doesn't works, please use the leftup cer & key pair included in HelloOX2 package to sign your apps.
The steps are:
1. Request for you cert and key file in the Master Zone. Only upon getting both file will you be able to continue (If you already have your cert and key file, skip this step).
2. Download HelloOX2 (attached) and sign it (I've attached GenialSIS as a signer, if ever you dont have any.)
3. Install the app and run it! Install MODO if you want, its a file explorer.
Now that you got your phone hacked, let's proceed to the last step!
~~~~ Installing N-Gage ~~~~
This step has also been fairly simplified. At the point Im writing this tutorial, I'm using the latest version of modified N-Gage available. Some info from this release:

1) Installs on all smart for 9.h;
2) Added configuration files for all the smart screen 240h320, nothing anyone does not have to manually put simply install and play;
3) anti-trial patch built-in: patch, which deletes trial logo on games, is built in app, so you don't see trial logo and you still can install new games (when you install N-gage Patch & UnPatch in other build, you can't install new games until you delete TrialPatch).
4) removed other languages, leaving only the English and Russian, and therefore weighs less;
5) Built-in pips components 1.01: for working cr*cked Pro Series Golf. Install pips 1.4 if you don't need PSG.
6) is packed with the choice of where to put - on a map or in memory of the pipe, but for it would have to certify the installation of each component;
7) Install only on hacked phone with installserver'om, signature did not give because of the complexity of the package. |

2. Open Rompatcher+ on your phone, and apply the patch "installserver_FP2.rmp" (for FP1 phones, skip this step).
3. Install the downloaded file, wait till the end, then OKAY!
Now all you need is to copy the N-Gage 2.0 craked games to the N-Gage folder on your folder, and open the app on your phone to get it installed. Have fun playing!

*For FP1 and pre-FP1 phones, I advise you to visit the original threads by Spiral, because then you can make use of the alternate method of hacking (the ancient one called Hellocarbide) as it requires no signing .
