Tux Paint este un program de desenat uşor de folosit , conceput pentru copii cu vārsta de la 3 ani īn sus. Acesta oferă o interfaţă simplă, cu multe, butoane colorate şi efectele sonore. Chiar dacă este conceput pentru copii, programul nu este limitat la operaţiuni simplue de desenare, include o gamă de caracteristici şi efecte (de curcubeu, decolorare, paiete, etc), auto-completa, inserare de text, forme, galerie de imagini, şi mai multe ştampile. Programul poate rula fie īn fereastră normală , fie pe tot ecranul. Tux Paint este uşor de utilizat de către copii mici, oferă īnsă suficiente caracteristici pentru al folosi și cīnd vor creşte mai mari.
Tux Paint is an easy-to-use drawing program, designed for children ages 3 and up. It offers a simple interface, with large, colorful buttons and sound effects. Even though it is designed for kids, the program is not limited to simple paint operations, but includes a good array of features like paint effects (rainbow, fading, sparkles etc.), auto-fill, text insertion, shapes, image gallery, image stamps and more. The program can either run in normal windowed mode, or full screen. Tux Paint is easy enough to be used by young children, yet provides enough features to keep them using it as they grow older.
