A prequel to the 1979 classic The Black Stallion--a family drama that presents the horse's adventures with a young girl named Neera, who has been separated from her father in Arabia by WWII. Left alone in the desert, she befriends the wild colt whom she names Shetan. Once reunited with her father, however, Neera remains haunted by the images of the lost horse in the desert--one of a few stallions of legend, rumored to be born of the sands, sired by the night sky, drinkers of the wind.

Experimenteaza povestea spectaculoasa a favoritului familiei, Armasarul Negru – splendid filmata pentru a relata o intensa poveste despre prietenie.
Atunci cand o tanara fata, Neera, se pierde in desert, intalneste un manz negru extraordinar de rapid si de salbatic. Intre ei se leaga o prietenie si in cele din urma reusesc sa gaseasca drumul spre casa, dar ajunsi aici afla ca zilele in care bunicul ei crestea cai se sfarsisera.
Neera se hotaraste sa participe la o incrancenata cursa de cai impotriva unor temuti oponenti, pentru a recastiga reputatia bunicului ei. Dar risca sa il piarda pe cel mai bun prieten al ei – tanarul armasar negru.
