At the beginning of WITHOUT LIGHT, Jesse has just broken up with the latest in a long line of girlfriends and has given up on love and hope as his best friend Chris tries to help him out of the slump. It's the stuff of a typical romance movie...the only problem is WITHOUT LIGHT is not a typical romance. The moment Jesse picks up his head, he finds the facade of reality has melted away and the patterns of "life" are completely visible--if not immediately understandable.
