High upon his loft on Mt. Olympus, Ares looked down upon the people of a foreign land. The continent is divided amongst two rival nations and is always on the verge of war. Nothing could be more perfect for a little “Deus ex Machina” to spice things up, Ares thought as he rubbed his hands together. Lately, the other gods have been underestimating him and a war would be just the thing to tip the scales of power in his favor. But which nation should he choose? Each side has its virtue, so the choice is tough: the Empire is ruled by a brash young man eager to prove himself as an Emperor of the Ages; whereas the Alliance is led by a weather-beaten warrior who knows the value of creating order through war. Well, whatever he chooses, war won’t be hard to instigate, so there really isn’t much difference. Chuckling merrily to himself, Ares rushed out to speak with the Emperor.
