Ben 10 - The Complete Season 1+2+3

Average kid Ben Tennyson becomes a host of alien-fighting superheroes with the help of an extraterrestrial device in Ben 10, an engaging and kid-friendly animated series that arrives on DVD with a smattering of extras for series devotees. Ben 10's basic premise resembles the 1960s and 1980s DC Comic title Dial H for Hero, with affable teen Ben discovering an alien device called the Omnitrix after it crashes on Earth. The Omnitrix gives Ben the power to transform into ten different and powerful alien heroes, each with their own specific super powers. Ben's discovery of the device attracts the attention of evil space warrior Vilgax, who wants it for his own universe-conquering purposes. Episodes are divided between Ben tangling with Vilgax and his crew of monstrous henchmen, and Ben's struggles to fight crime with the Omnitrix, which occasionally malfunctions and summons the wrong hero at the wrong time. Episode highlights include "Washington B.C.," in which scientist Dr. Amino mutates animals (including dinosaurs) into powerful monsters; "Hunted," with Ben battling a trio of interstellar bounty hunters sent by Vilgax; and "Kevin 11," about a maladjusted kid whose powers of energy absorption threaten to steal away the powers of the Omnitrix.

All 13 episodes of the 2005-2006 debut season of Ben 10are included on this double-disc set; fans also get a lesson on how to draw Ben from artist Scooter Tidwell, and there's a commentary track on "Secrets" from creators/Man of Action members Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and writers Tramm Wigzell and Thomas Pugsley. I must say that "Ben 10" is awesome. I really enjoy watching the show, and just watching it progress further and further from where it started. The characters and voices are great (especially Gwen's...he he he). I think that its worthy of watching every Saturday morning on cartoon network, so everyone should give a chance before they say anything, and no one should be saying that its just like "Teen Titans". Because it isn't, it's "Ben 10"...So all that being said, I hope that everybody gives the show a chance. Be sure to catch the new season because it's going to be amazing...Good job to everyone on the show you all deserve some praise because you all truly are amazing!

Ben goes on a road trip with his Grandfather, and cousin Gwen for summer vacation. When they stop at a forest, a meteor crashes nearby. Ben approaches the remains, and a device attach's itself to his wrist. Now he can change into 10 different alien creatures. Ben must learn to use the watch and each alien with forces intent on taking the watch.

Making a stop in Washington D.C., Max uses the watch to stop crime and rescue people, but he wants some reward. Grandpa Max tries to teach him what a hero really is, but his first encounter with Dr. Animo, a scientist who can mutate and control animals, will really teach him.

The Tennysons go to a circus, but something's bothering Ben. Ben leaves the circus as the Circus's Star performer, Zombozzo the Clown stars his act. Ben foils a crime, and returns to find the circus has disappeared, Grandpa Max is acting strange, and Gwen has vanished. Ben must overcome his personal fear to rescue his cousin.

Grandpa doesn't stop to help Ben, he and Gwen continue to their destination, he reveals some secrets to his past, and his connection to the alien. Grandpa hopes to gather some weapons to help Ben in his battle.

Ben wakes up from a dream, and can't find the Omnitrix. The Tennyson's start their summer vacation, and go to the camp ground. While Ben helps Grandpa pitch up a tent, Gwen finds the Omnitrix. Ben must get use to his new supporting role and the fact that Gwen's got better control of the watch.

Gwen is abducted through a portal. Ben changes to XLR8 and chases after his cousin. They find that Gwen's adult self came back in time to bring Ben into the future. She says that Ben's adult self has mastered the Omnitrix, but he still needs some help that only his younger self can provide. But it's not the combined threat of Dr. Animo and Vilgax that she's worried about.

Season 3, Episode 2: Midnight Madness

The Tennysons stop by a Super Mall. Ben participates in a hypnotists show. The next day they find out something was stolen from the mall and an alien may be involved. That night they find Ben sleep walking, and causing havoc. Now team Tennyson must keep Ben awake to prevent more chaos and find out who's behind Ben's sleep walking.

Season 3, Episode 3: A Change of Face

While visiting Salem, the Tennysons encounter Charmcaster. She casts a spell, and manages to capture Ben in a field, but Gwen interferes and gets caught in field, Charmcaster and Gwen switch bodies. While Charmcaster(as Gwen) gathers ingredients for another transference spell, Gwen (as Charmcaster) gets sent to juvenile hall. Gwen has to escape and get her family to realize a switch has taken place.

Season 3, Episode 4: Merry Christmas

While driving through the desert, the Tennysons find Santa's village. A small village that seems to celebrate Christmas all year. But there's something go on. One person mistakes Grandpa for Santa Claus and uses him in his plans. Ben and Gwen are starting to turn into elves, Ben and Gwen must work together to free themselves and rescue Grandpa Max.

The Tennysons stop by a Native American Reservation to visit an old friend of Grandpa's. They are soon attacked by a Yenaldooshi, a werewolf, Ben fights him off as Wildvine. Soon Ben starts turning into a werewolf. The Team must track down the werewolf to cure Ben.

It's a rainy day, Ben challenges Gwen to a game of Sumo Samurai Slamdown. She starts beating him, Ben changes to Upgrade and regains his advantage, then lightning strikes the Rustbucket. Ben and Gwen end up inside the video game. The Omnitrix times out, and most of his Heroes no longer appear in the Omnitrix. Ben and Gwen must fight their way out of the video game.

With 3 Alien Monsters working with a fourth, Ben is going to need more help from Gwen and Grandpa, but he's too stubborn to realize it. The summer finally ends, Ben and Gwen have to go back to their normal lives. Grandpa Max tells Ben to keep the Omnitrix a secret from everyone, even his parents. Ben agrees, but Vilgax arrives and he'll stop at nothing to get the Omnitrix.

Ben 10: Alien Force

Ben 10:Alien Force premiered a few weeks ago here in Australia and I'm really enjoying it. As a fan of Ben 10 from the beginning, I think it's a natural progression in the story. Unlike say Rugrats All Grown Up, for example, that simply made the characters older for the sake of it.
They wrote ten-year-olds rather accurately (and I would know,I have a brother that age). But now that the characters are my age I can relate to them and they're more interesting. Plus they are all drawn rather attractively. They can do things with the characters that they couldn't do before, such as the relationship between Gwen and Kevin (I especially love Ben's disapproval of it all). Plus they're on their own now, making their own decisions without Grampa Max helping them out.
I miss the old aliens, all of them had such interesting and unique designs. My favorites being Ghostfreak, Heatblast and XLR8 (don't you just love how they sound like they were named by a little boy?). Although I do like Big Chill, the rest of the aliens are unimpressive. But I think this new series is driven much more by plot than by the look of the creatures. Which reflects how Ben probably feels about having an Omnitrix at this stage. He's grown accustomed to it, the novelty of playing superhero has worn off and now he has responsibilities.
I hope this show runs for a long time yet, I hear there's even a live-action movie in the works

Ben and his friends comes across Mike Morningstar after rescuing a girl from nearly being run over by a truck. He's revealed to be a Plumber and both he and Gwen immediately trust him right away. Unfortunately, Kevin is the only one who sees through his charade and calls him out. When Gwen is drained of her magical energy and reduced to being Mike's slave as a zombie. It isn't long until Ben realizes that Kevin was right to have mistrusted Mike from the start.

The team destroys some alien armor that runs amok. They store it to keep safe. But someone who used to bully Ben manages to find it and cause trouble for everyone.

While relaxing near a secluded spot where Grandpa Max used to take Ben & Gwen, they notice a mysterious figure leaving flowers. Alien Bounty Hunter Seven Seven is after an alien princess. Her father will stop at nothing to get her back, including threatening Earth with destruction if she's not returned safely. When a major crisis arises, Ben uses Alien X for the first time. Ben learns about his most powerful alien form, and everything that comes with it.

Season 2, Episode 1: Darkstar Rising

As the team checks on a possible alien plot, they're stopped by a Plumber. He accuses them of impersonating Plumbers, and orders them not to fight any more aliens until the situation can be sorted out, in a few months. A new villain emerges, Darkstar. He allies himself with the DNAliens, and they go after Ben and the others.

During a battle Ben and an alien commander are teleported to a distant world. They must put their differences aside if they're going to have any chance of finding a way to return to Earth.

Ben's parents witness Ben changing into an alien hero, and watch him fight a Highbreed alien. When he returns, he's forbidden from using the Omnitrix. They contact Gwen's parent, and they restrict her activities. Kevin has to face the latest menace on his own, but he going to need help. Can Ben turn his back on his friend in his hour of need?

The Plumber's Helpers call Ben asking for help against Devoid. Ben goes into the Null Void alone to assist them and finds an old enemy with new powers, and he finds other surprises.

A regular human stumbles onto some DN Aliens and steals their semi-truck and crashes it. The local authorities do not believe him. Ben and the others show up. They find out what the HighBreeds are planning, and other secrets of the DN Aliens.

The Alien Force gets some unexpected help during a fight with some DN Aliens from a spider monkey. Ben finds out he's the rightful crown prince of his people, but had his authority usurped, he needs a crystal to prove he's worthy of the crown. The Alien Force helps the prince.

The team hears of a creature that rampages at night in the desert and investigates. They find the creature, and some DN Aliens.

The Alien Force could not stop the DN Alien Fleet from arriving. More re-enforcements arrive, but this battle can't be won on Earth. A small group goes to the home world to force the leaders to stop the invasion.
