for all mankind - criterion collection | 4,5 al reinert | studio: criterion | isbn 0780022319 |For All Mankind - Criterion Collection | 4,5 GB Director: Al Reinert | Studio: Criterion | ISBN 0780022319 | NTSC | DVDR | Dolby Digital 5.1 | 80 minutes In July 1969, the space race ended when Apollo 11 fulfilled President Kennedy's challenge of "landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth." No one who witnessed the lunar landing will ever forget it. Breathtaking both in the scope of its vision and the exhilaration of the human emotions it captures, For All Mankind is the story of the 24 men who traveled to the Moon-told in their words, in their voices, using the images of their experiences. Criterion is proud to present Al Reinert's award-winning documentary in a new special edition. For All Mankind is a 1989 documentary film documenting the Apollo missions of NASA. It was directed by Al Reinert. The film provides 80 minutes of real NASA footage, taken on the Apollo missions of the 1960s and 1970s. The focus of the documentary is on the human views of the space flights, and the original mission footage is provided along with the voices of the astronauts, from interviews and from the actual mission recordings. Among those providing narration are Jim Lovell, Michael Collins, Charles Conrad, Jack Swigert, and Ken Mattingly. For All Mankind was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary in 1990. In the DVD commentary, Reinert explains that he made the film after learning that huge amounts of footage shot by astronauts had been archived by NASA without ever being seen by the public. Reinert also explains that although the documentary purports to show a single moon mission, it is in fact a collage of images from all six missions. Furthermore, images are often presented out of context: the images of rocket stage separation are test footage shot during earlier missions; a shot used to represent trans lunar injection is in fact footage of re-entry; and the images of a spacewalk are from a Gemini mission, not Apollo. From IMDB User comments: Fantastic, essential viewing. A real gem. • New Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix • Audio commentary by producer-director Al Reinert and Apollo 17 commander Eugene A. Cernan, the last man to set foot on the Moon • Paintings, with audio commentary, by Apollo 12 and Skylab astronaut Alan L. Bean • NASA audio highlights and liftoff footage • Optional onscreen identification of astronauts and mission control specialists • English subtitles for the deaf and hearing impaired For All Mankind is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.33:1. This digital transfer was created from a 35mm low contrast print. The new 5.1 mix was created from the original audio stems. Lodge a compus o excelenta tragicomedie pe tema catharsisului in literatura si a pretului platit in schimbul sau.

Information This is the remarkable story of two baby elephants struggling to survive their critical first six months in the oldest desert on earth. The Desert Elephants of Namibia suffered a poaching holocaust in the 1980s. As the most endangered elephant population in the world recovers, every single calf is vital. Himba and Dusty are born in a boom year, but when the short-lived rivers on which they depend disappear underground; their lives depend on the memories, experience and decisions of the females who lead their tiny families. Unique Elephants A little-known and surprising group of desert-dwelling elephants roams the far northwest of the Kunene region of Namibia in South West Africa. Extraordinary in their endurance, the small families make marathon treks between the remote shores of the Skeleton Coast and the high Kabere Mountains of the interior. These animals traverse some of the most dramatic, arid, and austere scenery in the world. The secretive nature of their existence was only revealed recently, when cameraman Martyn Colbeck followed them whilst working on the BBC’s landmark series Planet Earth. The film takes place in the Northwestern Namib Desert. “Namib” means (“vast”). It’s sixteen hundred kilometres long, fifty thousand kilometres square. These are the harshest conditions in the world for elephants. Twenty-five years ago, out of eighty local desert elephants, poachers killed all but three. Now large-scale poaching has ended. The herd has a chance to recover… Credits: Mike Birkhead, Producer Russell Boulter, Narrator Martyn Colbeck, Elephant Specialist, Photographer, Cameraman David Mitcham, Music Info-tech: AVI v2.0 | 638 MB | 48:54.640 (49 min) | XviD ISO MPEG-4 Color | 672 x 400 | 1.680 (42:25) | 1.000 (1:1) | 29.970 fps | 1738 kbps English | 48000Hz | 135 kb/s tot | Joint Stereo LAME3.97 | 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3 Subtitles: English, Romanian Archives name: eN0tNd.4parts.rar, recovery record, subtitles not included Size: 3 x 200000 KB + 74263 KB Download: no pass Instantaneu: Chiar dacă o trompă e o minunăţie a naturii, Himba trebuie să înveţe să o folosească, să o umple cu apă... It's a perilous desert journey through sandstorms and bandits, and complicated by mysterious sabotage within the group, to arrive at a long-forgotten fortress deep beneath a mountain. Only then does Annja discover that this archaeological expedition is really one man's quest for the mystical Staff of Aaron, one of the Bible's holiest and most powerful relics-a weapon they say can do incalculable harm in the hands of the wrong individual. She must try everything humanly possible to prevent the staff from being used for selfish purposes. Even if it puts her in the mightiest battle yet-sword against staff.
