Thomas Archer (Ron Eldard) avea totul: o soție frumoasă, un fiu iubitor și o carieră solidă. Iată însă că un intrus pătrunde în casa lui, îi ucide fiul și îi brutalizează soția, iar viața ideală a lui Archer se spulberă. Când poliția nu reușește să îl găsească pe ucigaș, psihoterapeutul lui Archer (Christopher Plummer) îl îndrumă spre o agenție care lucrează sub acoperire, specializată în vânătoarea de criminali. Pornit acum pe urmele celui care i-a ucis fiul, Archer se confruntă cu o decizie care va avea consecințe devastatoare, într-o dramă despre răzbunare, plină de suspans.
