De Halloween, gemenele Kelly and Lynn Farmer (Mary-Kate Olsen si Ashley Olsen) fac o descoperire senzationala: matusa lor Agatha este vrajitoare! In urma cu multi ani, ea a gasit intamplator o piatra de pe luna care i-a dat niste puteri extraordinare. Numai ca Agatha nu a devenit nici pe de parte o vrajitoare cumsecade, ci una plina de ura care-i poarta ranchiuna tatalui celor doua fete.
Hotarata sa se razbune, Agatha se foloseste de bagheta ei magica pentru a-l ruina financiar pe acesta si pentru a-i arunca pe toti in strada.
In incercarea lor de a-si impiedica matusa malefica sa-si duca la indeplinire planurile, gemenele o cunosc si pe sora geamana a acesteia, Sophia, o femeie buna, dar care este prizoniera unei vraji a surorii sale.
Cele trei trebuie sa lupte impreuna pentru a-i lua Aghatei piatra magica si a o impiedica pe aceasta sa-i faca pe ceilalti sa sufere.
