Don Piper (Hayden Christensen), a murit pe 18 Ianuarie 1990, atunci când un tractor i-a zdrobit mașina. Declarat decedat de către prima echipă de medici ajunsă la fața locului, corpul său zace sub o prelată timp de 90 de minute. Rugăciunile unui preot l-au adus înapoi la viață, făcându-l un veritabil miracol. Și totuși, este un miracol pe care Don nu și l-ar fi dorit, întrucât rănile sale i-au provocat o durere inimaginabilă și traume psihice. Susținut de iubitoarea sa soție, Eva (Kate Bosworth), cei 3 copii și prietenii săi, Don luptă pentru a-și reconstrui viața. Bazat pe o poveste reală, incredibila odisee a perseverenței familiei Piper, filmul promite să aducă speranță și încurajare celor care îl vizionează.
