Call of Duty Modern warfare 2 “Steam - Error This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time.” and ‘Steam Error - 55′
Solution : Restart Steam. If that doesnt fix it; restart your computer.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Crashing to desktop at startup/launch
Solution :
# Set your desktop to a resolution of 1024×768, 32 bit True Color.
For Windows XP
1) Right-click on your desktop and select Properties.
2) Click the Settings tab.
3) Set your screen area to 1024×768.
4) Set the colors to Highest (32 bit).
5) Click Apply and OK.
For Windows VistaWindows 7
1) Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize.
2) Click on Display Settings
3) Set the resolution slider to 1024X768
4) Set the colors to Highest (32 bit).
5) Click Apply and OK.
# All background applications should be shut down prior to running the game.
1) Go to the Start bar and select Run. (If you are on Vista or Windows 7, hit the Windows key and the R key at the same time)
2) In the Run window, type in msconfig and hit enter.
3) Once the utility comes up, go to the Startup tab and hit the Disable All button.
4) Next go to the Services tab and check the “Hide All Microsoft Services” checkbox and then hit the Disable All button.
5) Hit the OK button and close the utility, and restart your computer when prompted to.
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2 Crashing / Freezing ingame.
Solution1: just disable Steam community in-game.

If you are having trouble with the Game or you have to format your PC and don’t know if your Savegame is still there after reinstalling Modern Warfare 2, here is the solution:
Just go into the Modern Warfare 2 folder:

and just mack a Backup from the folder named “players”

salutare.bai fratilor spuneti mi si mie cu ce dezarhivati....am copiat arhivele rar..dezarhivat cu winrar si mi face fishiere cu extensia .001 .002 si asa mai departe in doua directoare care se cheama dvd1 si dvd2.am folosit hjsplitul si mi face 2 fishiere rzr-mw2a si rzr-mw2b care nu au nici o extensie..prima de 8 giga si ceva si a doua de aprox 3,6 giga.cum se procedeaza??????????multzumesc mult de ajutor.

alchool sau power iso...dar dacă nu au extensie fishierele alea...si nu le vede...dai all files si zice ca i format nerecunoscut...montezi fisierele chiar dacă nu au iso sau nrg sau altceva si cand dai sa accesezi discul.......nu e formated sau nu i recunoscut de windows.

Pentru a putea vedea extensiile fişierelor: Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Folder options > View > deselectaţi "hide extensions for known file types" > Apply > ok

nu conteaza ce extensie au. e clar ca trebuie instalate cu ajutorul alcohol120, power iso sau daemon tools. chestia e ca in dvd1 si dvd2 e cate un fisier care cu oricare din programele de mai sus nu merge sa le mount-ez. la nici unul din ele nu imi porneste autoplay iar daca dau sa intru pe drive-ul virtual atunci imi da ceva eroare cea precizata de seby82. poate sa ne ajute va rog unul din cei care au jucat jocul acesta pentru ca imi doresc foarte mult sa joc jocul. va multumesc

Eu nu aş fi aşa de sigur, dar asta este problema dvs.
Dacă în urma unirii fişierelor cu extensie .001, .002, .003, etc, cu programul HJsplit, rezultă un fişier fără extensie (de obicei inutilizabil, chiar dacă se redenumeşte şi se adaugă extensia .iso), instalaţi WinRar şi, având fişierele .001, .002, .003, etc şi WinRar-ul instalat, daţi click dreapta pe primul fişier (.001) şi alegeţi "extract here" sau "extract to".

Si eu am avut acea problema mai inainte deci cred ca am facut asa : Dupa ce ai 2 dosare cu filuri fara nici o extensie , astea trebuie
Ca sa faci asta dai doublu clik pe primul fisier care nu are extensie ... dupa ce este unul .iso si faci copy / past in alta parte de acel fisier .
Dupa mount image si instalezi ...

locust asa am facut. le-am unit cu hj split dar acum am ceva 2 fisieresi daca dau sa le extraga cu winrar imi extrage putin si apoi imi cere i00, dar eu nu am decat fisierul din dvd1 si fisierul din dvd2

Dacă nu mai aveţi fişierele .001, .002, .003, pe care le-aţi unit cu HJsplit şi apoi a rezultat fişierul pe care îl aveţi dvs, mi-e teamă că eu nu vă pot recomanda decât să descărcaţi din nou jocul şi să dezarhivaţi cu winrar.
Poate mai are cineva altă soluţie...

eu nu am facut cu nici un hj split ... mam explicat mai greu mai devreme imi cer scuze sint francez fac cum pot ...
deci dupa de ai cele foldere DVD1 si DVD2 cu fichiere de vreo 50 de mo fara extesioe ... dai dublu clik pe primul , si iti apare un file in extensie .iso .
acel trebuie copiat in afara dosarului , ca sa mearga : caci dupa ce iai dat dublu clik , decit apare o imagine de acel .iso dar trebuie dupa sa preia singur cele fisiere fara extensie care au ramas .
dupa ce ai reusit sa ai cele 2 iso, adik unul de 3,3 go , si celalat de vreo 7 go faci mount image si instalezi jocul .
daca nu mam facut clar pot incerca inca o data dar in franceza sau engleza 
PS : ii mistoo am o corectura special pentru mine mersi la cel care mia puso XD
