(the latest scientific evidence points to a multiple impact event and even it’s possible origin the asteroid 289 Baptistina with it’s breakup causing the formation of
Tycho crater on the moon as well as Chicxulub) This impactor radically altered the earths atmosphere and killed of vast amounts of marine and plant life as well as
a great many of the larger life forms including the Dinosaurs.
