SYNOPSIS
The story of "The reader (the reader)" begins in Germany after the Second World War. Returning from school, the teenager Michael Berg (David Kross) suddenly feels ill and Hanna (Kate Winslet), a stranger to doubles age, helps you reach your home. Once recovered, Michael Hanna sought to thank him. Start a secret and passionate romance between the two. Michael discovers that Hanna loves to read and their physical relationship is more profound. Hanna is an immense pleasure in reading that Michael makes it fragments of "The Odyssey," "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "The Lady of the dog." However, despite the intensity of their relationship, Hanna mysteriously disappears one days left devastated and confused Michael. Eight years later, being a law student, Michael is attending the trials for Nazi crimes and was amazed to meet again to Hannah, this time as a defendant in a trial. As we will reveal the past of the woman, Michael discovers a deep secret that will have a major impact on the lives of both.
