Currently in development at Blade Interactive, the game will be the first in the series to feature online play in addition to more than 30 professional opponents with improved AI and motion-captured animations.

In addition to the World Championships, World Championship Snooker 2004 will let players compete in licensed re-creations of all of the tournaments on the snooker calendar, including the LG Cup, British Open, UK Championships, European Open, Welsh Open, Irish Masters, Player's Championship, Masters, and many more. Venues such as the Crucible Theatre will be accurately re-created in the game, as will opponents such as Stephen Hendry, Mark Williams, Steve Davis, Ken Doherty, John Higgins, and Tony Drago.
