Filmul contine tocmai elementele la care ne-am putea astepta- reactiile amuzante ale lui Dundee la toate detaliile sofisticate (si absurde) ale vietii citadine. Cu toate ca e privit cu neincredere la inceput, aventurierul le dovedeste tuturor ca manierele lui "naturale" de a se comporta sunt destul de viabile si la oras. Nu trece mult, iar jurnalista si vanatorul se vad indragostiti unul de altul. Filmul a ajuns rapid un succes de casa, fiind printre cele mai bine vandute filme cu capital australian. Interpretarea extrem de amuzantă a lui Paul Hogan a făcut din “Crocodile Dundee” cea mai bună comedie a anului 1986. “Crocodile” Dundee (Hogan) este un australian care vânează cu mâna goală crocodili, “doboară” cu privirea bivoli de apă gigantici si reuseste să bage sub masă băutori “veterani”.
